I am excited to announce that today I am launching a free to enter online competition in partnership with Harrogate International Festivals and Berwins Salon North.

Berwins Salon North Events have been voted number six in the ‘Top 100 Things to do in the World’ by GQ magazine. Taking place in Harrogate, Yorkshire, it is an entertaining cabaret-style evening designed to enlighten you and excite your curiosity. You will get to hear from three speakers, including me, who will spend an enlightening 25-minutes sharing new ideas with you and different ways of thinking. At this event you will also get lots of opportunities to network, buy a signed book from us, the speakers, and enjoy a drink at the well-stocked bar.

How to Leave a Group Chat is a book about communication and instant messengers which I wrote because most of us have a dysfunctional relationship with our phones, so to enter please share your #smartphonestories. Maybe you have a funny story about a group chat, want to rant about wrong numbers or you’ve got a great tip to help other people use their phone less. Whatever your #smartphonestories, we want to hear them!

The prize

The lucky winner of this free to enter online competition will win a pair of tickets to the Berwins Salon North event taking place on Thursday 10th April 2025, plus two signed copies of my new book How to Leave a Group Chat!

For each additional platform you follow me on, and for each additional smartphone story you share, you’ll receive an additional entry into the prize draw.

The prize on offer to one winner is one pair of tickets to the Berwin Salon North Event on Thursday 10th April 2025 plus two signed copies of the book How to Leave a Group Chat by Louisa Guise. The winner of this free to enter online competition will be announced shortly after the closing date. The winner will be chosen at random and contacted via the social platform that they used to enter the competition for further information. The winner will pick up their tickets for the event and the books from the event on the night, and it is the winner’s responsibility to ensure that they claim their prize. Due to time restrictions, in the event that the winner doesn’t come forward to claim their prize by Thursday 27th March 2025, a new winner will not be selected and the tickets will be returned to the festival. Entries will be promoted across Louisa Guise’s digital channels. Any personal data that may be required will only be used for the purpose of this event and competition and will be deleted within a reasonable timeframe. No cash alternative will be offered in place of the prize. This competition is open to both new and exisiting followers of Louisa’s accounts, but restricted to residents of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
