Poetry commissions
Poetry commissions are a unique way to mark that special occasion. A few lines of poetry can say a million words, which is why you should commission a poem for your special event. I’ve written poems for birthdays, wedding and a funeral. Commission a poem for special events
The Wedding Poem
In 2022 my good friend Florence married Kosti at the most idyllic lakeside location in her husband’s native Finland. She asked me to write a speech, but I went one better by writing a poem about, and dedicated to, the happy couple. The video’s a bit tightly shot, but hopefully it doesn’t detract from the romance.
The Birthday Treasure Hunt poem
This interactive poem written for my former love involved a treasure hunt around our house to find his birthday and Christmas presents. Note: the poem begins after the Happy Birthday message.
The Goodbye Poem
Nanna was a great influence on my love of literature. She brought me bagfulls of books from charity shops and I happily devoured them. It was only fitting that I said goodbye in such a personal way, and my poem also raised a few smiles on what was a gloomy day.
