Description

It’s 2026, and poetry is in peril. The pool of publishers accepting poems is tiny, and one poet, Louisa the Poet, has an evergrowing collection of poems gathering dust. So she put her design skills to work and made a collection of poetry zines for your pleasure.

Childhood is a collection of poems which take you on a personal journey through Louisa’s yesteryears up to when she came of age. Some of the Childhood poems were even written before she turned 18 – can you guess which ones?

Originally from Cardiff, Wales, her first book, How to Leave a Group Chat, is about communications and smartphone use, and it was published by The Book Guild in 2024. A communications and marketing professional, Louisa is a graduate of the University of Copenhagen, the University of South Wales and the Leuphana University of Lüneburg in Germany (that’s the Erasmus year!). Louisa is currently based in Reading, South East England, where she is heavily involved with local writing groups Caversham Writers and Dreading Slam. When she’s not coughing up words, Louisa enjoys travelling, socialising and trying something new. No AI was used in the making of this zine, just Chat LMG.
